• Make sure your immigration documents are valid and unexpired:
  • Passport valid at least six months into the future
  • I-94 admission record listing E-3 status; your I-94 will list the date by which you must exit the U.S. after your employment ends. If your I-94 end date has not passed and you remain in the same position at TU (and/or with any other authorized employers), you will be in E-3 status. Contact ISSS with any questions
  • I-797 Approval Notice (if a petition was filed with USCIS)
• Report address changes to USCIS then notify sharonl@temple.edu
• Work only in the position listed on your Labor Condition Application
• Extend your stay no more than six months but no less than three months prior to your I-94 End Date
• Pay your taxes
• Depart the US in a timely manner

E-3 status is employer-specific. Unless another employer has submitted an E-3 petition to USCIS on your behalf or you have departed the US and reentered documenting both Temple University and the new employer, you may not engage in any type of additional employment.
